Space and Science Center and Toky-o

I'm tired.  Haha, it was a crazy filled weekend and honestly Saturday could have been the worst travel day so far.  The kids were terrible.  I think George is getting too big to hang out in a backpack/stroller all day.  I'm getting pretty excited about going home and having a car, routine, my backyard, my house, my friends, etc.etc.!!  And I am ready for everybody to get over their sicknesses and be healthy!  Everyone feels this way probably.  What a crazy winter!  Anyway, here are some photos of some amazing things!

First off a few photos from everyday life and the Space and Science Center:

At the library on base they have these computers for kids and they have the best program where Cora can play and learn for hours.  George, however, feels a little left out so I played with him a few times and he picked it up pretty fast too!  Aren't they so cute!

This was the coolest thing.  Black and white pictures you look through a magnifying glass thing and they came to life in beautiful colors!

This was a space flying ride that if you stood in the circles they showed you on the space ship...not sure what Cora is doing.

This was a concave hole in the wall and it looked like a mirror so you put your hand in to touch it and it goes farther than you think...George loved it.

Hello Cora

 Bath time!  I almost always bath the kids together and we have tons of laughs.  I thought I should document it for future wedding videos.  This was also the first time George said Uh-Oh consistently!

We got a room at the New Sanno again this weekend and so we spent the whole weekend in Tokyo.  Like I said before the kids were terrible.  But we made the most of it.

Nice reminder of home.

Inside the shrine, they were doing the prayer thing and the guy standing up in the left side played that huge drum during it.  Pretty cool.

They are really into mustaches too here, saw these, a mustache ring, etc.

This was Odaiba Island which is man-made and has tons of cool stuff on it.  This view is looking back at Tokyo and Rainbow bridge (named that because at night is lit up like a rainbow).

The museum of Innovations and Emerging Science.  We had heard awesome things about this place, well I am sure it is really cool if you don't have crazy kids screaming.  Haha.

At the Tokyo Station was a store for the parent company of Hi-Chews.  They had this guy here that you could pick two flavors of hi-chews and he smashed them together rolled them out and made a rose...

Thought about getting this for you Chase, but sorry, the line was super long.

The store.  Only normal flavors of hi-chews which was super disappointing, but still cool to see a whole store.

Then the next day we went swimming in the morning to let the kids get some running time and we ate at the New Sanno Sunday Brunch Buffet.  We heard amazing things about it, and it lived up to the expectation.  A little costly, but DELICIOUS!

 First stop on Sunday was Roppongi Hills.  Also this weekend was Cherry Blossom Festivals all over the place.  It was so beautiful and fun!  The weather was a little cool and cloudy, but everyone was out at the parks.

Next stop was Akihabara, the Electric Town.  Know for lots of Anime, video games, and electronic stores.

The whole road was closed to traffic so we walked down the middle which was nice, because it was packed.

Wish we could have seen it at night, I bet it is crazy!

This guy handed me a card that said something about money is not important, being there for those in need is what really matters.  He looked like a huge loofa monster.

We saw a store for toy cars and trains, Kevin was SUPER excited and then saw the prices on some of them, for example this car was $200.  Ridiculous, but he found a brand called Tomica that is like hot wheels for us, but way more detailed and not too expensive, so he bought 5.

Sky Tree.  The second tallest building in the world.  It was super busy to try and go up it and crazy expensive. 

Single stroller into double stroller and Kevin seeing the Sky Tree for the first time...hahaha.

Luckily we bought these toy swords (2 for a $1) and they were very entertaining to the kids on the 75 minute train ride home.  Cora had to sleep with them last night.  She has been begging for swords everytime we see one, but they were kind of expensive so when I found these cheap ones we got them and they were the best investment ever!

George loved them too!

 So it was a pretty good trip, we found 6 new flavors of hi-chews at a random convenience store, we made it home in ok time, we saw a ton, we ate well (twice at McDonald's so the kids were happy, and I must give them a huge shout out because if there wasn't a McDonald's on every street corner, I think my kids would probably starve out here!) and we bought a few awesome shirts and souvenirs.  A few people asked me what we do on a day to day basis, well when I'm exhausted after a long weekend, I pull out these sticky notes I accidentally bought when Cora put them in my cart and let the kids stick them to themselves.  Lasts for hours!
